Mr.Fix It--

Rex-the-Tool-man-King ....

.
A few weekends ago we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Kings house, where Rex and Levi worked so diligently on replacing the timing belt in our Honda! Now as many of you know, Honda's are probably one of the MOST reliable cars out there, but they do have one flaw which is the timing belts going out! If it happens it is quite an expensive fix....so before it happened Rex decided to replace ours....The cost for this to be done at a dealerships is around $800 (because the labor is a VERY long process), But the awesome and amazing husband Rex is....He bought the parts for 215 bucks!..... 9 LONG hours later....they had it replaced!....Thanks A MILLION Jill and Levi for giving up your weekend to help us!!!

That's good that Rex was able to replace the belt w/help. 215 is a lot better than 800! We would do the same thing fix it ourselves. It's always so fun to spend time w/family. I like the pics!!

We sold our Honda before we had to replace the timing belt. However, in the newer hondas they put a timing chain in instead of a timing belt, so you don't have to replace them. Good thing too, because are expensive. Way to go Rex for saving yourself 600 bucks. Now that is talent!
